Blood Drives for Month of September

There are days when ABS goes offsite to conduct blood drives out in the community. Typically the Cobb location is closed and the NSH office remains open with a smaller donor schedule, these days are:

September 14: ABS NSH will be open, ABS Cobb is closed

September 22: ABS NSH will be open, ABS Cobb is closed

Appointment Time Changes

ABS has some exciting news, we are now open on Thursdays at our Cobb County location, with appointments from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

There are a few minor changes to ABS at Northside's schedule:

Monday: 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM

Thursday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Saturday: 7:30 AM to 1:45 PM

AB Patelet Pals ABS is looking for AB Type Donors to join our new AB Platelet and Plasma Program called AB Platelet Pals. ONLY 3.5% of the population is Type AB, which is a small segment of the population--if you know of anyone who is would be willing to donate and who is Type AB please have them contact ABS.

Ideally, we would like anyone who is Type AB to come in once a month to donate a platelet and plasma product that will be used to help treat infants and children here in Atlanta. These products are given to trauma or accident victims. Please help ABS ensure that there are products available when our local hospitals need them.

Community Blood Drives ABS now has the capabilities to come to your business, religious organization, social organization or school! Please call 404-459-8744 if you are interested in sponsoring a mobile blood drive with ABS!

Double Red Cell Donations ABS is now able to collect 2 units of Red Blood Cells in one donation! Blood donors who give 4 or 6 times a year will like the efficiency of donating DRC's as they will be able to come in just 2 or 3 times a year and double the effectiveness of their blood donations! If you are interested in becoming a DRC donor please speak to an employee when you come in to donate.
